Dr Talon, is easy to get into, hes funny, empathetic, caring , direct, doesnt rush you highly reccommended, and for all the negativity in these comments i find it funny that you even had anything negative to say bc this dr is amazing, and ive had my fair share of different drs in michigan this has to be my best experience so far with a phyc dr. Plan to continue care with him as i cannot reinerate enough he is a good dr with a lot of experience. These new age drs they wanna push all this medication on you that you know doesnt work because they are literally taught in medical school to do these things. Now in my opinion that's insane. My last dr put me on. Some crap medication that ultimately caused me to end up in a rather lengthy stay well at least it caused a perfect storm there were other reasons but she did not listen to me at all. This dr is seriously highly reccommended and if you're open and honest with him articulate and advocate for yourself then there should be no issues.

I spent many years suffering with depression, anxiety, and poor focus; struggling with figuring out the right meds, and generally not feeling heard or seen by my previous medication management prescribers. I decided to search for an actual psychiatrist and the difference has been day and night. Dr. Talon listened to my concerns, asked the right questions and properly diagnosed me with a condition I didn’t know I had until I was 42 years old. The change in medications, and approach to my therapeutic needs has greatly changed my life trajectory for the better. I’m more organized, motivated, disciplined and regimented in my everyday life now, as I finally feel this weight of depression lifting from me. I’m able to participate in my life now. As patients, we have a responsibility to prepare ourselves to communicate our issues properly with the doctor, and have the patience to understand that a successful outcome or therapy doesn’t just happen overnight.

I highly recommend Dr. Neil S. Talon, based on being a patience of his for last year or so. Dr. Talon takes time to listen to what you have to say, both with what is going on medically and how life is going in general. Dr. Talon is very engaging, never in a hurry and if timing does become an issue he will find time on another day to make sure you feel comfortable and have covered everything that is on your mind. Dr. Talon makes sure that you take accountability for yourself and well being. In addition, Dr. Talon allows for virtual visits and I find this very helpful. Finally, I find Dr. Talon very personal. Time permitting he makes small talk sometimes and likes to make people laugh and smile.

Dr. Talon has tremendous expertise and patience and has been instrumental in helping me perfect a medication regiment that suits my conditions effectively. He is very straight forward and informative about all side effects and listens to my concerns about problems related to my medications, specifically, often times offering multiple solutions. He is very efficient, direct, and reliable and will work with you as much as you are willing to work with him. He helped me lower my reliance on medications slowly over a period of time, on my terms as I was ready, and reach a very good balance without any significant side effects. Very thankful to Dr Talon!

I've been a patient of his for years, and have recommended him to multiple friends and family members seeking care. I spent a few years living out of state, but would still see him when I came home. He's got the perfect blend of personal and professionalism, and genuinely cares about you. Anyone with negative remarks is probably a drug addict he wouldn't write a script for, and if that's the kind of doctor you're looking for steer clear!

I see review comments that say he is not empathetic and is rude. Not the case at all. He is professional and must ask pointed questions. If you have something to hide he will confront you. He is doing his job! Psy meds are not candy to be handed out willy nilly. Be honest and respectful not only with Dr Talon, but with everyone. Life will treat you better.
