About Chris James (He/Him)

Christopher James received his DO from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, his master’s degree in Public Health from Temple University and his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. He completed his Child and Adolescent fellowship at Northwestern University/Children’s Memorial Hospital and his Adult Psychiatric residency at University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt. He has over 15 years of experience and specializes in the evaluation and pharmacological treatment of psychiatric disorders in children, adolescents and adults. His areas of specialty include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Dr James is kind, and straightforward. Doesn't get any better than that! I have been seeing him for quite a while, possibly over 20 years. I don't know how I would have gotten through those years without him. I have been unhappy with Lifestance as far as getting through to actually talk to a person. I do not like it at all, so I will not be staying with Lifestance after Dr. James leaves.

Dr.James is a Great doctor , always answers questions or concern ,polite ,understanding and always wanting to help in anyway. I have been going to Dr.James for years and no dr. Can top Dr.James the way he approaches your whole visit he is really worth going to , and going to stay at life Stance with Dr.James .

By far the best psychiatrist I have ever seen! As someone with aspergers I have seen many psychiatrists, but Dr. James is by far the best! He will explain how the medications work for you and will do what's best for his patients. He really cares about his patients and will help you however he can.

Dr. James is a wonderful psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for about 12 years. He has helped me through so much over the course of those years. The office has always been helpful and informative with any questions. I couldn’t be happier with Dr. James or the staff there!

This office has been the best for my mental health issues. I’ve been to numerous doctors over the years with not much progress. Dr. James addressed issues that were previously undiagnosed and works with me on my medications. Definitely recommended
