About Dr. Rafael Torres (He/Him)
Dr. Rafael Torres is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults and seniors across Rhode Island. He specializes in the treatment of complex psychiatric conditions, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, ADHD, anxiety and psychosis, with a focus on restoring dignity, autonomy, and quality of life.
Dr. Torres also has extensive expertise in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, sleep disorders, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and the psychiatric effects of medical conditions and head injuries. His comprehensive approach includes medication management and adjunct psychotherapy as needed.
Known for his collaborative and respectful style, Dr. Torres creates a safe space where patients feel heard and supported. He is fluent in Tagalog and proudly serves a diverse patient population, including LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, and military veterans.
