About Abibat Saliu (She/Her)
Dr. Saliu helps teens, adults, and older adults find relief from mental health challenges through thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric care. Serving patients across Texas through LifeStance Health, she provides medication management and works closely with individuals to develop treatment plans that support emotional wellness, resilience, and long-term stability. Dr. Saliu believes that effective mental health care begins with listening, understanding each person’s unique story, and creating a collaborative path toward healing. Her clinical interests include the treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions. Dr. Saliu is particularly passionate about supporting women through reproductive and life-stage transitions, including postpartum depression and anxiety, reproductive challenges, and other concerns that can impact emotional well-being. She recognizes the complex connection between mental health, physical health, and life circumstances, and strives to provide compassionate care that addresses the whole person. Dr. Saliu works with individuals facing a broad range of psychiatric concerns and has experience helping patients manage mood disorders, grief, and other emotional and behavioral health needs. She understands that seeking mental health treatment can feel overwhelming and creates a supportive environment where patients can feel comfortable discussing their concerns, exploring treatment options, and actively participating in their care. As a Medical Doctor and psychiatric prescriber, Dr. Saliu completed her education at the University of North Texas and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center before completing her psychiatry residency training through the UT Southwestern Psychiatry Residency Program. She values cultural awareness and strives to ensure each patient feels respected and understood throughout the treatment process.
