I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Shankar and the care she provides. From the very first visit, I felt truly seen, heard, and understood—something that can be rare when navigating through my condition as an adult. Dr. Shankar is incredibly kind-hearted, always approaching every conversation with warmth and genuine empathy. She’s attentive and thoughtful, never rushing appointments and always taking time to listen carefully to my concerns, no matter how big or small. She’s also deeply respectful, treating me as a partner in my own care, rather than just a patient. Her approach is collaborative, and she makes sure I’m fully informed and comfortable with any steps we take together. What really stands out most is her passion for helping people. It’s clear she truly cares about the well-being of her patients—not just in managing symptoms, but in helping us thrive. Her knowledge, patience, and dedication have made a real impact on my life, and I’m so grateful to be under her care. If you’re looking for someone who is compassionate, thorough, respectful, and genuinely committed to helping you succeed, I highly recommend Dr. Shankar enough.

She is very personable. She recommends medications and does not force them on you if you are not on board. She doesn't rush you but of course she is a psychiatrist so you get 15-20 min which is enough to accomplish what you need.
