Kim Yano is a Licensed Psychologist with over 10 years of experience specializing in treating depression, anxiety, trauma and significant phase of life transitions. Kim treats patients between the ages of 16 and 85 utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person Centered, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her approach with clients. Kim has extensive experience counseling teens, adults, seniors and groups in both clinical and outpatient settings. In her clinical work, Kim utilizes traditional talk therapy as well as art, music and mindfulness techniques. Kim also has a passion for providing services to underserved and marginalized populations, with a focus on improving equity and access to care.
In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, and friends. She also loves cooking and travel. Kim has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. She also previously achieved a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California Irvine.
