About Melinda Joseph (She/Her)

Melinda Joseph, PhD, helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults build practical skills to navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges with greater confidence and resilience. Serving patients throughout California at LifeStance Health, she provides evidence-based mental health care tailored to each individual’s goals, strengths, and circumstances. As a Clinical Psychologist, her areas of treatment include ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also supporting individuals experiencing a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and health-related concerns. Dr. Joseph utilizes a variety of research-supported interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Family Therapy. She also offers psychological testing and neuropsychological testing, which can provide valuable insights into cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and learning concerns. In addition to her primary areas of expertise, she provides support for conditions such as OCD, trauma, grief, sleep difficulties, pain management concerns, gender identity exploration, and other mental health needs. She believes effective therapy is built on collaboration, curiosity, and trust. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and equipped to make meaningful changes in their lives. Drawing on her training from Palo Alto University and Pacific Union College, she integrates clinical expertise with a warm, individualized approach to care. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Joseph enjoys singing, traveling, attending live performances such as musicals, plays, comedy shows, and concerts, and spending time outdoors on nature walks.
