Specializes In:
Dr. Gallo is a pediatric neuropsychologist who assesses problems with thinking, learning, and daily functioning in children, adolescents, and teens. He has specialized training in evaluation of children with neurological or medical conditions that can affect the brain, such as seizure, stroke, head trauma, premature birth, prenatal alcohol/drug exposure, and genetic abnormalities. He also specializes in the evaluation of developmental disorders, such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities. As children transition to adulthood, evaluations can help to determine readiness and possible need for specialized support or guardianship. Dr. Gallo collaborates with a range of child specialists, including educators, pediatricians, pediatric neurologists, and behavioral health providers. He makes certain that every parent he works with gains a thorough understanding of their child’s unique set of strengths and weaknesses. After he develops a customized treatment plan to help optimize the child’s development and daily functioning, he makes certain that parents are confident in their ability to follow through with recommended treatments. He is also available for follow-up consultations and re-evaluations to help monitor the child’s development and progress, explore new concerns, and update treatment recommendations. Dr. Gallo earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has obtained board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology, as well as Subspecialty Certification in Pediatric Clinical Neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology.
