Dr. Rycroft is a clinical neuropsychologist who provides neuropsychological evaluation and treatment for adults with a range of neurological, neurodevelopmental, and psychological conditions that can impact cognitive function. She conducts comprehensive assessments of clients’ cognitive and psychological function and considers test results in the context of their unique personal and sociocultural backgrounds. She provides feedback to clients on their individual strengths and weaknesses, diagnostic impressions, and tailored recommendations aimed at improving their quality of life. Her clinical interests include the relationship between mood/anxiety and cognition, ADHD/learning disorders, cognitive changes in aging, neurodegenerative disorders, traumatic brain injury, and vascular disease/stroke. With regards to treatment, Dr. Rycroft conducts cognitive rehabilitation therapy aimed at helping clients develop personally-tailored strategies to improve attention and organization in their daily lives. She also provides individual psychotherapy, in which she works collaboratively with clients to help them explore and address the challenges they face, alter problematic patterns of thinking, and live meaningful lives in line with their values in spite of areas of pain. Dr. Rycroft received her bachelor’s degree in the Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a Neuropsychology major area of study from Temple University. She completed a specialized Neuropsychology internship and a two-year Clinical Neuropsychology fellowship at the VA Boston Healthcare System, with appointments at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine.
