Dr. Nancy Madigan has been a clinical neuropsychologist at LifeStance Health since 2021. She specializes in neuropsychological evaluations of adults with neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, including dementia, multiple sclerosis, concussion/traumatic brain injury, ADHD, medical conditions impacting cognition, and neurodevelopmental/learning disorders. She received her PhD from City University of New York, completed her clinical internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center–Hillside Hospital in the Neuropsychology clinical track, and received her postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts Mental Health Center. She also completed a pre-doctoral research fellowship at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine in New Jersey. Prior to LifeStance, Dr. Madigan worked as a clinical neuropsychologist in the Cognitive Neurology Unit (CNU) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She worked as a lead neuropsychologist within the CNU’s Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic and was an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School. She has published research articles and presented at meetings examining memory and processing speed in traumatic brain injury, factors contributing to persistent cognitive symptoms in concussion, as well as potential biomarkers of cognitive dysfunction in individuals with multiple sclerosis. Dr. Madigan’s consultations and assessments provide essential complements to other diagnostic evaluations. In working with clients, her personal goal is to help identify specific interventions to effectively manage symptoms. These include compensatory strategies to enhance daily functioning at work, school, personal life, and/or social functioning, and recommendations geared towards improving overall quality of life.
