Dr. Jenn Karew, PsyD, helps teens, adults, and older adults across Michigan gain a deeper understanding of themselves, navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change. As a psychologist with LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, offering a thoughtful balance of compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. Dr. Karew believes that therapy works best when clients feel genuinely understood, and she strives to create a supportive environment where individuals can explore their experiences, strengthen resilience, and move toward their personal goals. A particular passion of Dr. Karew’s is helping people work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and borderline personality disorder (BPD). She understands how these challenges can affect relationships, self-esteem, emotional well-being, and daily functioning. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, she helps clients identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain new perspectives that support emotional growth and healing. Dr. Karew’s approach is grounded in a humanistic foundation while incorporating proven therapeutic methods tailored to each client’s needs. She commonly utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition to her core specialties, she has experience supporting individuals with ADHD, grief, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. She also works with LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, military members, and veterans. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2017, Dr. Karew has been committed to helping clients build insight and develop practical tools for managing life’s complexities. She earned her education through the University of Michigan–Dearborn, Michigan School of Psychology, and Michigan School of Professional Psychology, further strengthening her ability to provide thoughtful and effective care. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Karew enjoys spending time with her husband pursuing their shared passion for muscle cars and participating in Michigan car shows, including the iconic Woodward Dream Cruise. She also loves boating, reading, and watching psychological thrillers. At home, much of her attention is happily devoted to her cat, Sir Ebenezer Sneezer Karew, who serves as the unofficial office manager of her home office.
