Dr. William Kreusser, PsyD, helps individuals, couples, and families across Minnesota navigate life’s challenges with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care. Practicing at LifeStance Health, he provides a safe and supportive environment for children, adolescents, and adults to address emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and behavioral concerns. With more than 25 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, Dr. Kreusser is committed to helping patients build resilience, improve relationships, and find lasting balance in their lives. Dr. Kreusser specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, using an approach that integrates both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the human experience. He believes that meaningful change begins through collaboration and empathy, and he tailors each treatment plan to meet the individual needs of his clients. His practice also includes working with couples seeking to strengthen communication and intimacy, as well as families navigating complex dynamics or transitions. Dr. Kreusser is especially passionate about helping individuals experiencing alcohol and drug use issues, grief, and midlife or later life transitions. He provides thoughtful, nonjudgmental support to those seeking recovery or renewal in the face of personal loss, health challenges, or major life changes. His extensive experience with first responders, veterans, and individuals living with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders allows him to meet clients where they are, offering care that honors each person’s strengths and values. Drawing on interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies, Dr. Kreusser helps patients gain greater insight, emotional regulation, and self-compassion. He also provides psychological testing to support accurate diagnosis and guide effective treatment planning. Outside of his work, Dr. Kreusser enjoys creating original music, spending time outdoors fishing, cooking, reading, and working on home and yard projects. These personal passions reflect his appreciation for creativity, reflection, and connection—values that deeply inform his clinical practice.
