About Michael Brickey (He/Him)

Michael Brickey, Ph.D., helps adults across Ohio navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, and personal growth with clarity and purpose. Practicing at LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy for adults and seniors who are seeking practical strategies to manage distress, improve resilience, and move forward with confidence.

His clinical experience has included focuses on rehabilitation, MRDD (mental retardation and developmental disabilities), alcoholism, anti-aging psychology, and older adults. His experience has included teaching at universities, administration, research, authoring continuing education courses for mental health professionals, public speaking, clinical supervision, and authoring books including one featured on Oprah. He is a licensed psychologist who is Board Certified in Cognitive Behavioral Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (only 4% of American licensed psychologists are ABPP Board Certified) and a Fellow of the American Psychological (achieved by only 1% of APA members).

Outside of clinical work, Dr. Brickey enjoys public speaking, participating in Toastmasters, and exploring classic films, film noir, and opera. These interests reflect his appreciation for communication, creativity, and lifelong learning, values that also inform his therapeutic work.
