A childhood spent living abroad as well as clinical experience working in Southeast Asia has given her a unique perspective when working with clients.

Dr. Van Stone received her undergraduate degree in psychology at Trinity University, San Antonio and her master’s and doctoral degrees at the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. Therapy is a call to arms of sorts. It’s an opportunity to challenge old ways of thinking and unhelpful patterns a chance to live on the other side of fear, doubt, and insecurity. Therapy is one of the most courageous things you can do for yourself. Often referred to as the “talking cure”, psychotherapy is a powerful and time-honored approach to healing the heart, mind and soul. The core belief is that in creating a safe and supportive relationship with your therapist, you can become better able to shift the way you think and feel about yourself and others.

When you have hope and strength, you are better able to cope with the many stressors of our modern world. Therapy provides a context for solving problems and healing emotional pain and can be helpful in addressing some of the difficulties people face in their work and personal lives. Message from Kathy: “Let’s address your concerns and help you develop skills to understand your needs and reach your goals. In this way, you can begin to feel more clarity and confidence in yourself, your relationships, your career, and your future.”
