John W. Perry, Jr., Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who has been practicing since 1971. He completed a BA degree in psychology in 1966 and a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology in 1971 at the University of Texas at Austin. He completed a predoctoral internship in clinical psychology in Palo Alto, California at the VA Hospital and a consortium of other agencies and universities. He has worked in various clinical and academic settings in Mississippi and Texas. He is a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology, American Board of Professional Psychology.

The current focus of his practice is diagnostic psychological testing in consultation with general practice physicians, psychiatrists, counselors, and other mental health professionals both within and outside of LifeStance. Adolescent through geriatric patients are seen for these evaluations. A limited number of patients are seen for psychotherapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy is the most frequently used mode of treatment.

A former college athlete, Dr. Perry follows college sports, exercises regularly, and enjoys reading in various subjects and genres. He is an active church member.
