About Mark Jacobs (He/Him)

Mark Jacobs, LMFT, helps children, teens, adults, and seniors across California build resilience, improve relationships, and navigate life challenges with greater clarity and confidence. At LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy and couples counseling tailored to each client’s goals, supporting those facing anxiety, depression, and trauma. His approach is collaborative and grounded in creating a safe, respectful space where clients feel understood and empowered to make meaningful, lasting change. Mark has a strong clinical focus on ADHD, alcohol and drug use issues, and PTSD/trauma, areas he is especially passionate about treating. He works with clients to better understand patterns of behavior, develop practical coping strategies, and process difficult experiences in a way that promotes healing and growth. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and mindfulness, he helps clients strengthen emotional regulation, improve focus, and regain a sense of control in their lives. He also offers additional support for a wide range of concerns. He has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including first responders, military and veterans, and the LGBTQ+ community. His background includes over 20 years of honorable service in the United States Navy, which informs his deep understanding of stress, transition, and resilience. Mark’s style blends clinical expertise with authenticity and approachability, using humor and strong communication to foster trust and connection in the therapeutic relationship. Outside of his clinical work, Mark enjoys motorcycle riding, traveling, spending time with pets, and attending concerts, operas, and Broadway shows.
