Melissa Flor de Liz, LCSW, helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults navigate emotional and behavioral challenges with compassion, practical support, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she works with individuals and families throughout California who are seeking support for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Melissa creates a welcoming therapeutic environment where clients can develop insight, build resilience, and gain skills to improve their overall well-being. Melissa is experienced in helping young people and families address childhood behavior issues, school-related challenges, and emotional regulation concerns. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, helping clients feel heard and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Drawing from evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Melissa tailors treatment to everyone’s needs and goals. She also provides family therapy and incorporates practical coping strategies that help clients manage symptoms and navigate life challenges more effectively. Melissa earned her education from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and California State University, San Bernardino. Her professional experience has equipped her to work with a wide range of ages and backgrounds, allowing her to provide personalized mental health care that respects each client’s unique experiences and strengths. Outside of her clinical work, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting the beach, hiking, cooking, watching movies, and making memories with her dog, family, and friends.
