Jerel Lee, LMFT,
About Jerel Lee (He/Him)
Jerel Lee helps adults of all ages in California navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical therapeutic tools. He provides individual therapy that supports clients in building resilience, finding clarity, and working through emotional struggles that may interfere with daily life. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, Jerel creates a safe and grounded space where individuals can feel understood and supported in their personal growth.
Jerel is experienced in working with clients who are facing complex concerns such as men’s issues, grief, and midlife or later-life transitions. He integrates approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR only offered in-person not telehealth, and mindfulness to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs. His goal is to help clients not only reduce symptoms but also gain a deeper understanding of themselves and cultivate a greater sense of purpose and well-being. In addition to these areas, Jerel offers care to diverse populations, including first responders, members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and those connected to adoption or foster care.
A key focus of Jerel’s practice is court-ordered treatment, an area in which he brings both structure and compassion. He recognizes the challenges that can arise when therapy is mandated and works collaboratively with clients to transform this requirement into an opportunity for genuine healing and self-discovery. With a balanced approach that combines accountability and support, Jerel helps individuals move beyond external expectations to achieve meaningful personal change.
Since beginning his practice in 2011, Jerel has been deeply committed to integrating depth psychology, culture, and spirituality into his therapeutic work. His passion lies in supporting men’s healing and exploring the intersections of identity, relationships, and transformation.
Outside of his work, Jerel enjoys exploring nature, engaging in mindfulness practices, and immersing himself in cultural and spiritual experiences. He is also passionate about poetry, literature, and the arts, often finding inspiration in writers such as James Baldwin and Rumi.
