The problems we experience, and the context in which we experience them, can make it seem as if we are defective, as if there is something fundamentally wrong with who we are. Problems can saturate our lives until we think we’ve been robbed of the power to change. This is not so! We can change our relationship to our problems, through our own strengths and unique knowledge. Eitan is trained in Narrative Therapy, a collaborative approach that separates “the problem” from the person experiencing this problem, and which seeks to help people tell new stories about their lives. His goal is to help people learn to challenge the problems in their lives and ultimately unleash untapped agencies.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Eitan works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, transitions, substance abuse, and interpersonal conflict. He has nearly two decades of experience working with this population, including as a therapist, teacher, workshop facilitator, and school-based counselor. He completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, received a Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, and an additional Masters in Fine Arts in creative writing from CSU Long Beach. Eitan is a lifelong Dodger fan; that said, his extensive training and non-pathologizing approach allow him to work constructively with Giants supporters.
