About Anum Rathor (She/Her)

Anum Rathor, LMFT, provides compassionate and evidence-based mental health care to individuals across California. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, process challenges, and build effective coping strategies. Specializing in individual therapy, couples counseling, and group therapy, Anum tailors her approach to help clients manage anxiety, navigate life transitions, and heal from past trauma.

Anum is especially passionate about treating PTSD and trauma, substance use disorders, and sleep disorders/insomnia. She understands the deep impact of trauma and helps clients process their experiences to foster healing. She also supports individuals struggling with alcohol and drug use, guiding them through recovery with a balance of accountability and self-compassion. Additionally, Anum provides targeted interventions, such as CBT for Insomnia, to improve sleep quality and overall well-being.

Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions, Anum personalizes treatment to each client’s needs. She also integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and faith-based counseling when appropriate. Fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, she is dedicated to providing culturally responsive care and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health in diverse communities.

As a first-generation South Asian American, Anum values inclusivity and ensures clients feel heard and supported. Outside of her work, she enjoys painting, writing, and meditation, incorporating creativity and mindfulness into her approach to well-being.
