About Martin Carey (He/Him)

Martin Carey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California who has been practicing since 1992. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science and Religion from La Sierra University, a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University, and PPS Credential in School Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino. Martin begins with a careful assessment of the client’s concerns, and addresses those concerns through integrating several therapy approaches, including cognitive behavior therapy, family systems therapy, solution-focused therapy, and reality therapy. Martin can help clients suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and in moving past dysfunctional thinking, feeling, and behavior patterns. He specializes in working with couples, elementary-age children, teenagers, and enjoys working with children with autism. Martin can help kids with school-related emotional and behavioral problems, with 17 years of experience as a school psychologist.

Outside of work, Martin enjoys looking through telescopes at the night sky, teaching others to enjoy the stars, and playing the piano, especially Beethoven. He is also a writer for a Christian online blog.
