Amber Cation is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California who has been practicing since 2015. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from California State University of Sacramento. Amber has worked in various settings such as outpatient mental health, high school, and providing community-based services with the aging adult. She has gained most of her experience working with adults struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, substance abuse, and personality disorders.

Amber has a passion for helping clients learn ways to cope with feelings of distress and overcome various challenges. She is determined to help clients overcome challenges through a process of gaining awareness, identifying and building on strengths, and learning new strategies to achieve their individual goals. Amber has experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. She strives to create a space that provides non-judgmental care, acceptance, genuineness, and compassion.
