Holly Hooton, Therapist

Holly Hooton, MS, LMFT

My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can express yourself, gain insight, and achieve personal growth. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I offer practical tools and guidance to help you overcome challenges, build confidence, and create meaningful change.

I was inspired to become a therapist after experiencing the positive impact counseling had on my own life. Because of that experience, I understand that reaching out for help can feel intimidating. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs, with an emphasis on practical, collaborative, and client-centered care.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and discuss the concerns, challenges, or goals that bring you to therapy. Together, we will identify areas you would like help with changing, healing, or understanding. Life can be challenging, and there is no instruction manual. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, develop resilience, and embrace your unique qualities.

I returned to college later in life to pursue a career in counseling. My desire to become a therapist grew as I gained greater insight into my own experiences. Following a difficult divorce, therapy helped me work through anger, emotional pain, and other life challenges. Through counseling and personal growth, I developed a renewed sense of purpose and well-being. These experiences allow me to appreciate both the courage it takes to begin therapy and the patience required for lasting change.

I work with adolescents, and adults. I believe that many of the answers you seek already exist within you, and I see my role as a coach and guide who helps you discover your strengths and move toward your goals. Counseling can lead to stronger relationships, solutions to specific problems, and significant reductions in emotional distress. Like many worthwhile endeavors, the benefits of therapy often reflect the effort invested in the process.

I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey toward growth and healing.
