Eva Ramirez-Holbrook is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with individuals, children, and adolescents experiencing concerns related to depression, anxiety, stress, adjustments, life transitions, relational health, trauma, grief and loss. She is also a National Certified Counselor with more than 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting with an emphasis on their academic and social/ emotional development.

Eva’s therapeutic approach is grounded by Narrative theory utilizing a respectful, collaborative, supportive and non-pathologizing approach to working with individuals. Her approach is primarily collaborative and relationally based creating opportunities that cultivate awareness, insight and new understandings to restore personal agency and authenticity.

As a postmodern therapist, Eva also works from a positive and strength-based approach, and is trauma informed. Her style is humanistic in nature, maintaining a strong client-centered and an open and safe space environment. Her treatment modalities are integrative based on the unique needs of the individual with an emphasis on meanings attached to experiences and attachment history.

Eva has a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of San Diego. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of California, Irvine. Eva also has her specialized, professional Play Therapy Certification from UC San Diego, Extension.
