About Ernesto Cruz (He/Him)

I was born and raised in Northeast LA. I traveled to the Midwest for my undergraduate education, before returning to the San Fernando Valley to finish my graduate degree in Psychology. In my practice I work with adolescents, adults, couples and families. I provide services in English and Spanish. I serve a diverse clientele including members of minority communities like BIPOC and LGBTQ. I have worked with issues of acculturation and racial trauma. I also work with clients facing generalized anxiety. I have experience helping survivors of sexual and physical abuse. I also serve survivors of domestic violence, trauma, relational abuse, and emotional abuse. Additionally, I work with clients struggling with depression and mood disorders.

I started my journey in mental health first as a client and now as a therapist. I know first-hand how hard it can be to find the help you need. I believe in the healing power of relationships, I strive to connect with the aspects within a person that have been shamed, neglected, and rejected by the rest of the world. As an Existential-Humanistic therapist I seek to create an accepting, empathic, and authentic relationship that empowers you.

I had a great experience. I was jumping from our meeting straight into another meeting and just pushed submit to get the box closed. No problem at all! Happy the service is there. It can be glitchy with audio on different platforms. Otherwise, grateful
