Melissa Teasdale is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado who has been practicing since 2014. Melissa has been practicing in multiple environments for the past ten years including schools, communities, and hospitals. She is rooted in trauma informed care and motivational interviewing. Melissa has been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trust Based Relational Intervention which is an attachment based and trauma informed. She uses CBT and DBT techniques to help her clients make empowering decisions for themselves. In the past year, Melissa has been working with children and teens with suicidal ideations and self-harm behaviors. She has worked with families in the child welfare system with the goal of keeping them together and safe. Melissa is also a yoga teacher and loves to bring in breathing techniques, meditation, and mindfulness. She loves to use art therapeutic techniques if clients desire. Melissa likes to create a calming, empowering, and safe environment with every session and focus on rapport building and letting the client drive while she’s in the passenger seat guiding and helping them get to where they want to go. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys hiking, yoga, and camping.
