About Teri Nelsen (She/Her)
Teri Nelsen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Colorado who has been practicing since 2003. She has an M.S. and Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kansas State University. Teri offers clients empathic listening, diagnosis, collaborative treatment planning. goal setting, gentle challenges, and support toward achieving their goals. Outside of work, Teri enjoys spinning yarn, knitting, crocheting, x-stitch and other needle crafts, walking/hiking, kayaking, camping, and most especially spending time with her family/loved ones.
Teri enjoys working with and has expertise in areas such as: working with couples, parents/ families, teens, women, military service members and veterans and their family members, LGBTQIA+, trauma, extensive life experience, grief and loss issues and chronic/significant health issues.
