About Lisa Dorner-Zupancic (She/Her)

Lisa Dorner-Zupancic is a licensed professional counselor at LifeStance Health, providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to individuals and families across Colorado. With over 15 years of clinical experience, she supports clients of all ages—from young children to older adults—through a variety of life stages and emotional challenges. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, Lisa creates a safe and nonjudgmental environment where healing, self-discovery, and meaningful growth can take place. Lisa specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma, using an integrative approach that blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness. She helps clients understand the root of their struggles, learn new coping skills, and gain confidence in their ability to navigate life’s obstacles. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. She is especially passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those impacted by PTSD, adoption and foster care experiences, and women’s trauma. Lisa understands how trauma can shape emotional well-being and self-perception, and she works closely with her clients to reclaim their sense of safety, identity, and empowerment. Her experience also includes supporting first responders, veterans, and individuals with head injuries, drawing on her deep empathy and clinical training to address their specific concerns. Outside of her professional life, Lisa is deeply connected to nature and enjoys spending time outdoors with her animals. She finds peace and grounding in these moments, which enhances her ability to bring presence and compassion into her therapeutic relationships.
