About Ken Whitney (He/Him)

Ken Whitney, also known as James K Whitney, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has been practicing since 2002. Ken graduated from The University of Denver with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work/Counseling.

Ken believes in Client Centered Psychotherapy, in which the client is considered an equal partner in their treatment and goals. His main areas of focus include mindfulness based depressive and anxiety treatment, Neurodynamic Couples Therapy, and trauma work using Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing.

In his spare time, Ken enjoys reading and studying mindfulness spiritual practice and alternative healing practices. He has been a long term meditator and student of Buddhism and Shamanism. He also has a history of craft work and woodworking.
