About Gayle Jones (She/Her)
Hi, I’m Gayle Jones, LCSW
(She/Her)
Taking the step to enter therapy takes genuine courage. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, working through trauma, managing anxiety, or simply trying to understand yourself better, my role is not to “fix” you—it is to walk alongside you as an empathetic, grounded ally.
I work with teens, adults, and older adults across Colorado through LifeStance Health, offering a safe, affirming space where meaningful growth and lasting change can take place.
My Approach to Therapy
You are the ultimate expert on your own life. Rather than imposing a standard template, I tailor my therapeutic approach to your unique strengths, values, and goals. We will move at a pace that feels safe for you, consistently checking in to ensure our work together aligns with what you need most.
I blend evidence-based practices—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness—to give you practical tools for everyday life.
Trauma Resolution & EMDR For clients carrying the weight of past trauma, I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). When overwhelming events happen, your brain can store those memories in a way that keeps them feeling painfully present. EMDR offers a gentle, structured path to help your brain reprocess past distress so you can regain a sense of safety, calm, and self-worth.
Areas of Focus & Experience
Since beginning my clinical practice in 2015, I’ve had the privilege of supporting diverse populations through complex mental health needs. My experience includes working with:
Gender-Affirming Care: Dedicated to working specifically with transgender and gender-nonconforming clients, providing informed support throughout all stages of transition and identity exploration.
Identity & Affirming Care: Providing inclusive, compassionate support for LGBTQ+ individuals and those navigating gender identity concerns.
Life Transitions & Specialized Care: Supporting individuals post-psychiatric hospital discharge, those in court-ordered treatment, veterans, and first responders—building stability and coping skills while maintaining total dignity and respect.
Trauma & Mood Support: Navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and major mood concerns like bipolar disorder.
Health & Aging: Helping clients manage pain, chronic medical conditions, and late-life transitions.
Outside the Therapy Room
Therapy is about building a fulfilling life, and I practice what I preach when it comes to finding balance. When I’m not in the office, you can usually find me out on the mountain snowboarding, riding my bicycle, spending time with my dogs, or involved in local community groups. I’m also an avid fan of good movies, great music, and hunting down the best coffee shops in town.
