Huntsing Ooi is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2021. Huntsing started his post undergraduate career as an accountant and decided that people are more interesting than numbers, yet he still relishes trying to create order in a chaotic world. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Masters in Addiction Counseling in Psychology (MACP) and completed his graduate school internships at Sandstone Care and AspenRidge Recovery. Huntsing enjoys working with those who would like to determine the origin of their thoughts and behaviors, discover how to develop a deeper purpose in life, and transition to active recovery from active addiction. He believes in examining core beliefs through proximal and distal factors, affirmations/positive self-talk, developing empathy, and understanding the difference between acceptance, tolerance, and condoning. Outside of work, Huntsing enjoys running, trading card games, baseball, concerts, board games, hiking, and his Kindle.
