Patricia helps clients manage many different problems and life struggles, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and traumatic experiences. Regardless of the issue, she meets clients where they are, and helps them learn coping strategies to better manage feelings. She helps clients develop personal strength to achieve their therapy goals.
She considers herself an eclectic therapist, integrating treatments based on a client’s individual strengths and needs. One of the many ways Patricia helps her clients is to be a present, active listener. Through a systemic lens, she also incorporates modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused techniques into her practice.
Patricia holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health, and has experience working in with children, youth, adults, and families in a variety of settings including day treatment, in-home care, equine therapy programs, and private practice. Her experiences working with horses as co-therapists has demonstrated to her the resiliency of the human spirit and the ability to heal through unconditional acceptance and love.
