When you meet with Sharon, you’ll experience empathy and non-judgement. You’ll be heard, understood and affirmed. Together with Sharon you’ll work on overcoming the barriers that are preventing you from living a full and meaningful life, and you’ll grow into the person you want to be.

Sharon’s clients find support and learn skills to manage many issues, such as trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, unhelpful thinking, behavioral patterns, and core beliefs. Active listening is the modality she often leans on to facilitate and support clients in their processes of change. Modalities she may utilize include EMDR, meditation, mind body medicine, inner child and family work, CBT, DBT, artistic activities, therapeutic yoga and movement, and animal assisted therapy.

Holding a Master’s degree in Social Work from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master in Science degree in Special Education with a focus on the emotionally handicapped and learning disabled from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, Sharon has 30 years of experience providing individual and group counseling, mostly in community mental health co-occurring disorders programs and settings.
