Amanda Padgett, LCSW, LAC
Amanda believes that the quality of our relationships, with ourselves and with others, has a profound impact on our quality of life including our mental, emotional, social, environmental, and physical health. She provides family, parenting, partner, and individual therapy to serve these important relationships. Her approach draws from attachment, family systems, emotionally focused, narrative, trauma informed, social justice, and somatic theories.
Amanda works with her clients to recognize and celebrate the strengths that they, and their relationships, already have while collaboratively making sense of the aspects of their lives that currently do not align with the quality of life that they are seeking. She then works together with her clients to understand what changes will be beneficial and how she can support them in making these changes through therapy and community resourcing. These changes may include addressing needs related to relationship difficulties, family conflict, parenting strategies, behavior change, identity, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and needs unique to LGBTQ+, foster care, and adoption.
Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Addiction Counselor. She has been clinically practicing within Colorado since 2018 with having stepped into her career serving others beginning in 2014. Amanda received a Master of Social Work with a Children and Families focus from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Denver Family Institute.
When she is not doing the work that she loves, Amanda is enjoying spending time with her pup and loved ones, getting outdoors hiking and backpacking, and attending live music events.
