About Cristin O'Brien

Cristin O’Brien helps teens and adults develop practical skills to navigate life’s challenges, strengthen emotional resilience, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. As a therapist with LifeStance Health serving patients throughout Florida, she provides individual therapy and family therapy in a supportive environment where clients can explore concerns openly and work toward their personal goals. Her approach combines compassion, clinical expertise, and a commitment to understanding each person’s unique experiences. Cristin works with individuals facing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, helping clients better understand the patterns that may be affecting their mental health and daily functioning. She believes that effective therapy is built on a strong therapeutic relationship and collaborates closely with clients to create treatment plans that align with their values, strengths, and goals. She also supports individuals experiencing women’s issues and additional emotional and behavioral health concerns. A key area of Cristin’s practice is helping people find healing from anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. She understands the profound impact these challenges can have on relationships, self-esteem, physical health, and overall well-being. Using evidence-based approaches, she helps clients process difficult experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and build a greater sense of confidence and stability in their lives. Cristin incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Christian counseling into her work when appropriate for a client’s needs and preferences. With experience serving teens and adults across a wide range of life stages, she tailors treatment to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. She also offers additional therapeutic approaches to support each client’s unique journey toward improved mental health. Outside of her clinical work, Cristin enjoys working out and participating in CrossFit, playing with her dog, making music, spending time at the beach, baking sourdough, sewing, and connecting with friends. These interests reflect her appreciation for creativity, wellness, and meaningful relationships. Cristin earned her education from Huntington University and Charleston Southern University. Through LifeStance Health, she is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality mental health care for teens and adults throughout Florida seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, and related concerns.
