Kara Laschober, Therapist

Kara Laschober, MA, LPC

Kara Laschober helps individuals navigate emotional distress, life transitions, and recovery with compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each person’s goals. She provides individual therapy through LifeStance Health for teens, adults, and seniors across Georgia, creating a supportive and structured space where patients can build insight, resilience, and meaningful change. Kara specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, helping patients manage symptoms that interfere with daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. She works with teens ages 15–17, adults, and older adults, adapting treatment to developmental stage and personal context. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies to support emotional regulation, coping skills, and long-term stability, with additional areas of focus available based on individual needs. A key area of passion in Kara’s work is supporting individuals recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital and those participating in court-ordered treatment. She understands that these transitions can feel overwhelming and uncertain, and she prioritizes continuity of care, clear goals, and collaboration to help patients regain a sense of control and forward momentum. Her approach balances accountability with empathy, supporting both clinical progress and personal dignity during complex circumstances. Kara also has experience working with military members and veterans, and she brings a respectful, grounded perspective to care that addresses the unique stressors associated with service, trauma, and reintegration. She is attentive to how mental health intersects with medical conditions, midlife and later-life transitions, and women’s mental health concerns, including post-partum emotional challenges. Outside of her clinical work, Kara enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog, and reading. She is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized mental health care for teens, adults, and seniors throughout Georgia.
