About Heather Schafstall (She/Her)

Heather Schafstall, LMHC, is passionate about helping teens and young adults in Indiana develop the skills needed to navigate their mental health challenges. She specializes in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, addiction, and behavioral issues, using a compassionate, integrated approach tailored to each client’s unique needs. Whether through individual or family therapy, Heather creates a safe, supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, empowering them to achieve emotional resilience and personal growth. Heather is particularly focused on helping clients struggling with ADHD, substance use, and depression. Her therapeutic approach combines evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also incorporates psychoeducation workbooks and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to provide clients with practical tools for managing their mental health. By addressing the root causes of their concerns, Heather supports her clients in building healthier relationships and coping mechanisms. In addition to her work with ADHD and mood disorders, Heather is dedicated to supporting those experiencing complex family dynamics, childhood behavioral issues, and PTSD/trauma. She works with families to strengthen communication and resolve conflicts through family therapy, and she also offers couples counseling for those navigating relationship challenges. Heather serves a diverse range of clients, including individuals on the Autism spectrum, LGBTQ+ individuals, military veterans, and those involved in adoption or foster care. When not working with her clients, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two giant dogs. She loves relaxing with a good movie, playing board games, and working on puzzles.
