Dr. Anderson is a licensed psychologist with a specialization in health psychology and behavioral medicine. Dr. Anderson works with clients who are coping with the stress of living with significant illness or chronic health issues, such as: weight management, chronic pain, diabetes, sleep issues, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory issues, cardiac issues, autoimmune diseases, cancer, and degenerative medical conditions. Dr. Anderson also helps clients who are experiencing anxiety, career-related stress or burnout, depression, relationship issues, caregiver stress, and adjustment to significant life changes. Dr. Anderson provides individual therapy for adult clients and utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach to aid with improved mood management, stress management, and health promotion. She uses a warm, empathic, collaborative, problem-solving style to create a supportive therapeutic environment and help clients optimize their overall quality of life. Dr. Anderson received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with a specialty in Health Psychology, from the University of Florida. She completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the VA Boston Healthcare System, with appointments at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Anderson has particular interests in the areas of: Anxiety Disorders Chronic Pain Medical/Health Related Conditions Stress Management Women’s Health Dr. Anderson provides services in our Financial District office.
