About Mr. Brian O'Neal (He/Him)
Brian O’Neal helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults develop the skills and confidence needed to overcome emotional and behavioral challenges, improve relationships, and achieve greater well-being. Serving patients throughout Massachusetts at LifeStance Health, he provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, while also supporting individuals and families facing a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and life-transition difficulties. His approach emphasizes collaboration, practical problem-solving, and helping clients build lasting tools for success.
Brian works with individuals across multiple stages of life, from young children to adults. He provides individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and case management services. He is experienced in helping clients navigate concerns related to school, family dynamics, mood disorders, and personal growth. In addition to working directly with clients, he partners closely with families to create supportive environments that foster healthy development and stronger communication.
Brian is particularly passionate about helping children and teens facing childhood behavior issues, school avoidance, and family-related challenges. He understands the impact these concerns can have on academic performance, self-esteem, and relationships, and he works collaboratively with young people and their caregivers to create meaningful change. He also supports clients managing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, and other concerns, while offering care tailored to each individual’s strengths and goals.
His therapeutic style incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy, along with additional evidence-based interventions when appropriate. Brian also offers psychological testing and utilizes a range of clinical approaches to support accurate assessment, treatment planning, and long-term progress.
Brian earned his education from Boston College and is committed to ongoing professional growth and clinical excellence. Outside of his practice, he enjoys running, hiking, camping, reading, traveling, spending time with pets and animals, watching movies and sports, and being outdoors whenever possible. These interests reinforce his appreciation for balance, resilience, and the importance of meaningful connections.
At LifeStance Health, Brian is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, teens, and adults across Massachusetts. Whether someone is seeking support for ADHD, anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns, he strives to create a welcoming space where healing, growth, and lasting change are possible.
