Haley Norrgard is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in Massachusetts. She earned her MSW from Salem State University. Haley uses a client-centered approach to therapy, joining with you to help you to be the person you want to be. She believes that you can be the architect of your own life and will meet you wherever you choose to begin the journey. Haley offers tools and insight to aid you in uncovering the root of your issues and supports you while you find the solutions that best fit you. Haley ‘s area of focus is working with young children to young adults. She has experience treating those with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, learning differences, autism spectrum disorder, attention difficulties and sexual orientation and gender identity issues. To maximize treatment success Haley utilizes many evidence based therapeutic modalities including play therapy, behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, parent coaching, solutions focused therapy, motivational interviewing. In addition, Haley traveled to Goa, India in 2019 to obtain her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification. She pulls from that experience to support the use of mindfulness and somatic therapy when it best fits a client. Haley started her work in the helping profession as a Wilderness Therapy Guide for Summit Achievement in Stowe, ME, where she went backpacking in the white mountains with teens dealing with mental health issues. While in graduate school she worked as an Applied Behavioral Analysis technician, working with young children. Haley completed her graduate school internships as a school counselor at Boston Green Academy and as an outpatient therapist at Doc Wayne Youth Services. In her spare time, Haley enjoys hiking with her dogs, crocheting, swimming, doing yoga, thrifting at consignment shops, and spending time with family and friends.
