Kathleen is a licensed independent clinical social worker who has been providing therapy to adults and children for over seven years. She strives to help clients become independent in managing their symptoms and unique life stressors. In therapy, Kathleen will help you develop a new relationship with your emotions so that you may face life’s challenges with confidence. By utilizing a strengths-based approach, she will facilitate your development of effective coping skills, enhance your ability to communicate, and pursue an affirmative belief in yourself. Kathleen applies the modalities of dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy with individuals, couples, and families. No matter your lifestyle or background, Kathleen is non-judgmental, kind, and accepting of all. She received her Master’s degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati. Kathleen completed her clinical internship at the Lindner Center of Hope, a prestigious mental health facility in Southwest Ohio. Post-graduation, she was hired to develop the area’s first outpatient program for eating disorder treatment. Along with treating disordered eating, Kathleen specializes in trauma, OCD, generalized anxiety, mood disorders, adjustment distress, relationship discord, family dysfunction, and stress management. Kathleen has also worked with military veterans and families, in the U.S. and abroad, during her experience as a military spouse. She sees clients in our Back Bay office.
