Sonya Poulin is a Licensed Certified Social Worker who provides compassionate and individualized therapy to children, teens, and adults across Massachusetts. At LifeStance Health, she works collaboratively with clients to help them navigate anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Whether supporting a child struggling with behavior challenges, a young adult adjusting to independence, or a woman experiencing emotional shifts during postpartum, Sonya creates a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore thoughts, build skills, and find lasting relief. Sonya is especially passionate about working with individuals experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety, drawing on both clinical expertise and deep empathy to support women through this vulnerable time. She also specializes in treating childhood behavior issues and PTSD/trauma, using trauma-informed approaches to help clients build resilience and regain a sense of emotional safety. Her work is guided by the belief that healing begins when individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered. Sonya supports a diverse range of clients, including individuals from the adoption and foster care community, clients on the autism spectrum, and women navigating complex emotional needs. She utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and parenting skills development to help individuals and families manage distress and strengthen their emotional well-being. In addition to these specialties, she offers support for ADHD, grief, and couples’ concerns, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the person in front of her. Outside of her clinical work, Sonya finds joy in paddleboarding, cooking, and camping—activities that reflect her belief in balance, self-care, and the restorative power of nature. She is honored to serve individuals and families throughout Massachusetts.
