About Ms. Shiandra Cardoso Bowles (She/Her)
Shiandra Bowles helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges with compassion, practical guidance, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides therapy to patients throughout Massachusetts, supporting individuals and families as they work toward greater emotional wellness, resilience, and meaningful life changes. Her approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Shiandra has experience treating a wide range of mental health concerns, with particular expertise in anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. She also supports patients facing ADHD, grief, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, school avoidance, women’s issues, substance use concerns, and other emotional and behavioral health challenges. Through individual, family, couples, and group therapy services, she helps patients develop tools to manage symptoms, strengthen relationships, and improve overall functioning.
A special area of passion for Shiandra is working with children and adolescents experiencing childhood behavioral concerns, family difficulties, and school-related challenges. She is committed to helping young people build confidence, emotional regulation skills, and healthy coping strategies while partnering closely with parents and caregivers. She understands the importance of early intervention and works to create a supportive environment where children, teens, and families can thrive.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, along with additional evidence-based interventions when appropriate. Shiandra believes that successful treatment begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and authenticity. She works with patients from diverse backgrounds and customizes care to meet each individual’s needs and stage of life.
Outside of her clinical work, Shiandra enjoys expressing her creativity as a party planner. She also enjoys gymnastics, football, and spending quality time with family and friends. These interests help her maintain a balanced perspective and bring warmth and energy into her work with patients.
Shiandra earned her education from Eastern Nazarene College and Wheelock College and brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to every session. Through LifeStance Health, she is proud to serve children, teens, adults, families, and older adults across Massachusetts with compassionate mental health care.
