About Cheryl Snyder (She/Her)
Cheryl Snyder is dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based therapy to adults and older adults navigating life’s challenges in Massachusetts. She specializes in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and grief, offering a supportive space to explore emotions and build resilience. With a person-centered approach, Cheryl tailors treatment plans to meet each clients’ unique needs, empowering them to develop effective coping strategies for lasting well-being. Passionate about supporting individuals through life transitions, Cheryl focuses on midlife and later-life adjustments, as well as addressing the psychological impact of medical conditions.
She understands that these periods can bring uncertainty and emotional distress and is committed to helping clients find stability and renewed purpose. Cheryl utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy to guide clients through change with confidence and clarity. Cheryl provides therapy for diverse populations, including military veterans, first responders, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.
She recognizes the unique stressors these groups face and offers a safe, affirming space to process trauma, identity exploration, and occupational stress. In addition to individual therapy, she incorporates case management to ensure clients receive comprehensive care and support. Outside of her clinical work, Cheryl is deeply committed to wildlife and environmental advocacy, volunteering as a foster caregiver for cats with the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts. She enjoys spending time in nature and appreciates all types of music.
