Matthew Lombard helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with a warm, practical, and evidence-based approach to therapy. At LifeStance Health, he works with patients across Maine, providing individualized care that helps people better understand their experiences, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. With nearly two decades of clinical experience, Matthew creates a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their mental health journey. Matthew is particularly passionate about helping individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, and depression. He understands how these concerns can affect relationships, school performance, work responsibilities, and overall well-being. By partnering closely with each patient, he develops personalized treatment strategies that address both immediate symptoms and long-term goals, helping clients gain confidence, improve daily functioning, and develop lasting coping skills. His practice also includes support for concerns such as trauma, grief, bipolar disorder, childhood behavioral issues, school avoidance, sleep difficulties, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. Matthew has experience working with children, teens, and adults from a variety of backgrounds, including individuals involved in adoption or foster care, people with autism spectrum disorders, and those with developmental disabilities. He utilizes evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, while also offering additional therapeutic techniques tailored to each individual’s needs. Matthew believes that effective therapy begins with trust, collaboration, and a genuine understanding of each person’s unique story. His goal is to help patients develop practical tools they can use in everyday life while fostering greater emotional health and personal growth. Outside of his clinical work, Matthew enjoys watching sports, both professionally and while supporting his children’s activities. He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, taking his two dogs on walks through Portland’s trails, and camping whenever possible. Whether you are seeking support for ADHD, anxiety, depression, or another mental health concern, Matthew is committed to helping patients throughout Maine find a path toward improved well-being and a more fulfilling life.
