In this role I supported clients with general anxiety, depression, anger management issues and trauma. I have experience in a Day Treatment school providing counseling services for clients ranging from 6-12. I’ve worked in community outpatient services providing individual counseling services for a general population ranging from 4 to 70 years old. Treatment was focused on Behavioral Management, Post Traumatic Stress, Generalized Anxiety Disorder Depression, Reunification Counseling, as well as Grief Counseling for several years. I originally became involved in clinical work to help support clients with learning and/or behavioral disabilities such as oppositional behaviors, Asperger’s and ADHD. I found in the population I served, that a number of my clients struggling to manage mental health concerns associated with behavioral disabilities like Attentional Deficit Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder were also struggling with trauma related triggers for sustained trauma.
