Becky Rasmussen, MS, LCPC, is a dedicated clinical mental health counselor serving individuals across Maine, offering compassionate and evidence-based therapy to help clients navigate life’s challenges. Through a collaborative and client-centered approach, Becky empowers individuals to develop coping strategies, build resilience, and work toward meaningful personal growth. She provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and ADHD. With a particular passion for supporting individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), hoarding behaviors, and school avoidance, Becky helps clients address concerns through structured interventions and tailored treatment plans. Becky additionally has training and expertise in providing therapeutic care for individuals and families impacted by PANS/PANDAS, functional neurological disorder (FND) (formerly conversion disorder) and selective mutism. She understands the complexities of these conditions and provides a calming, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences while learning effective strategies to regain control and improve their quality of life.

Utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), Becky guides clients through practical skills to manage emotions, reduce distress, and foster long-term well-being. She also integrates mindfulness techniques to promote self-awareness and emotional regulation. In addition to her work with individuals, she has experience supporting parents, foster and adoptive families, first responders, and individuals on the autism spectrum.

Outside of her practice, Becky enjoys exploring nature and appreciating the beauty of Maine’s four seasons. She also has a passion for trying new recipes from diverse cultures, embracing the joy of culinary creativity.
