She has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers since 2000. Bonnie has over twenty five years of social work experience in a variety of clinical settings. Bonnie has provided counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and families in school-based behavioral health settings, in home care, acute care facilities, hospice care, and private practice. She has a strong background in hospice, grief and loss, and end of life issues. Most recently Bonnie’s area of interest and passion is workiing with caregivers who are navigating through the long goodbye of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. She understands the challenge of the ever-changing health care system and her goal is to provide guidance, advocacy, psychoeducation, and clinical support. Her treatment modalities include mindfulness cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy. trauma focused CBT, and utilizing the Acceptance and Commitment therapy approach. Her philosophy includes looking at the person from a biopsychosocial and spiritual perspective to embody a holistic approach to wellness. Her goal is to work with individuals to identify their strengths so that they can function at their highest level. Bonnie believes the most gratifying work is helping clients feel heard as they address personal challenges and create positive change in their lives.
