Daniel Petersen, LMSW
Specializes In:
Daniel Petersen, LMSW
Daniel Petersen is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan who has been practicing since 2000. He has a graduate degree in Social Work from Wayne State University with a background in Clinical Therapy.
Daniel has an eclectic therapeutic approach as a therapist based on what the client’s needs are. His main therapeutic skills are focused on the use of Psychodynamic as well as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I also use DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) based skills to help clients better manage and regulate their emotions as well. A big part of Daniel’s overall therapeutic process is to increase a client’s capacity for insight and awareness to the problems they may be facing in their daily lives. In turn to learn and apply various coping skills to help work through these problems.
In his free time, Daniel enjoys camping, kayaking, hiking, biking, listening to music, and going to concerts. He is an avid reader and also a film enthusiast.
