About Ambrosia Nottage (She/Her)

Ambrosia Nottage, LPC, helps adults and older adults across Michigan navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clinical expertise, and a deep understanding of emotional healing. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, creating a supportive environment where clients can build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and move toward meaningful personal growth. With more than a decade of clinical experience, Ambrosia works collaboratively with each client to develop treatment plans that reflect their unique experiences, goals, and strengths. A significant focus of Ambrosia’s work is helping individuals recover from trauma, process grief, and address women’s issues. She is passionate about supporting clients through difficult life transitions, loss, and the lasting effects of traumatic experiences. Drawing from her extensive background in behavioral health, rehabilitation, and trauma-informed care, she helps clients gain insight, restore hope, and develop healthier ways of managing emotional distress. She also has experience supporting first responders and individuals with head injuries, while offering care for a broad range of behavioral health concerns. Ambrosia utilizes evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. For clients who desire it, she can also incorporate Christian counseling and faith-based treatment into the therapeutic process. In addition to her core areas of expertise, she offers support for bipolar disorder, grief, and other mental health concerns. Before joining LifeStance Health, Ambrosia served in hospitals, government agencies, and leadership roles within Michigan’s behavioral health system. She has trained thousands of professionals on trauma and behavioral health topics and has dedicated her career to improving access to quality mental health care. She earned both her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Wayne State University and began practicing in 2011. Outside of work, Ambrosia enjoys swimming, cooking, and spending time with her family as a proud girl mom.
